... Nurses' orders
Happy New Year!

It's been a long time since I was waited on while I was sick... I remember how when I was little, I used to spend the morning in bed, and then have soup for lunch, then, if I was feeling better, spend the afternoon doing things like reading a book or watching a movie, just so that I was still resting, but I'd be able to go to sleep that night.

I've spent pretty much all day today in my bed, attempting to shake this stupid cold once and for all, especially before we (hopefully) go to Edmonton tomorrow. Hey, if anyone has a car they want to loan us for the day, let me know! ;o) Anyways, off my tangent...

It's dark again outside. I've been in my bed allllll day. Matt came over this afternoon to be my nurse for a while... he made me take my medicine, did our dishes, and read to me. It's been a long time since anyone read to me while I was sick! It was fun times... Or, at least, as fun as it could be while I was sick. I'm feeling a lot better now, though, which makes me happy. Not nearly so achy, and a lot more "chipper."

That's the word my parents used to use when we were feeling better. "She seems awfully chipper to be staying home in bed!"

But I did stay at home in my bed today, just like my nurses ordered... and when they gave me medicine, I took it... Christian was laughing at Kat and I, because she was spooning cough syrup into my mouth like I was a little kid who couldn't do it for myself. Ah well... I got to be her mommy last week; this week, I guess it's my turn.

Anyways, that's enough for now. Maybe a recap of 2001 later, but not at the moment. My nose is stuffy again, so I need to go empty it. Happy 2002. :o)
