Things I love about summer:

• Driving with the windows down, blasting the music
• Not writing papers
• Being too sweaty because it's so hot outside
• Sunshine
• Late sunsets
• Only having to schedule life around work, instead of scheduling it around work, class, rehearsals, shows, meetings...
• Never wearing socks
• Coming home from vacation
• Wearing sunglasses
• Eating fresh fruit
• Fresh fruit that's cheaper than it is during the winter!
• Bright colors being in season
• Sundresses
• Lying on the beach
• Getting a sunburn
• Watching the sunburn turn into a tan
• Kicking off the covers at night because it's too hot to sleep with a quilt
• Picnics
• BBQ's
• Lying on the grass, reading a good book that has nothing to do with anything that I'm studying
• The sense of anticipation for a new beginning in the fall
• Outdoor swimming pools
• Slurpees
• The smell of sunshine

Mmmm. It's a beautiful day. Hot. Sunny. And I didn't bring a book with me, so I can't even go to a park and read for the afternoon.

That's okay. I get to drive with the windows down.
