Sat, Dec. 11
... There's just one thing I need
Sad day--there is no tree in my house this year. *sigh* Too many cats who have absolutely no respect for the wonder and beauty that is a Christmas tree. We do, however, have lights in the windows, garlands hanging from the ceiling, ornaments hung higher than the cats can reach, and an angel on top of the fig tree that sits in the living room window.

At least it's more Christmas-y than it was.

And I am currently braving the mall on a Saturday afternoon, two weeks before Christmas. I'm on a deadline, people! I've got presents to buy, and some of them need to be bought today, because I won't have another chance before they need to be given.

On the plus side, I wrote Christmas cards last night. Not all of them, but some. Maybe this year, I'll mail them before January 11, or whenever it was that last year's cards/gifts were sent. The bonus to that, though, is that they worked as a combination Christmas/Thank You card for my aunts and uncles.

So, now that the Christmas show is over, I'm waiting to get a script for Christmas Eve, and tomorrow we have a debrief/production meeting, in which we will begin to discuss Easter.

I love church life--living a season ahead of myself all the time... good stuff.

And now, it's back to the mall.
