It was truly a night where God was present, though. It was a night where we didn't bash or belittle each in the name of humor. We didn't talk about people behind their backs in the name of "prayer requests" or "examples" or anything else. We just talked to each other, about ourselves, each other, and God.
We were honest. We let ourselves be more real than we usually are in a group like that. We let ourselves see each other be a little more real than we usually do. And Jesus was there. God was present in our conversations; he was there in our interactions. He was part of all of it, and I believe it glorified him. I think he was happy with what he saw and heard from us last night.
Worship isn't just about singing songs on Sunday morning. Prayer isn't just about folding your hands and bowing your head. Last night was worship, and it was prayer, because it was us interacting with each other and with God.
