... Famous last words
Psst. It's Lindsey's birthday today. Go give her some love.

That's my public service announcement for the day.

So. I'm doing a skit at the C&C group tonight with Owen. The (purposely) cheesiest skit ever on dating. Like, it's so cheesy that when they talk about riding in a car with the wind blowing through my hair, they're going to turn a fan on so that it blows my hair. Yeah. How much fun is that? And I get to bring back the sexy banker costume. With a few variations. Like fishnets and hooker boots. It'll be fun times.

So. I was doing some repetition with Aubrey last night... that turned out to be rather interesting. It was really good... I was surprised. I don't repeat well with a lot of people--it's definitely not one of my strong points--and it surprised me that I repeated that well with Aubrey. It wasn't perfect, but it was pretty good. We didn't go deep, but it was a fun, fairly connected repetition.

Anyways, that makes no sense to anyone who isn't trained in the Meisner method, so I'll leave that for now. I was going somewhere sensible with it, but I think I've totally lost that train of thought now, so that's that. I think it was something about how our impressions of each other aren't totally in line with reality, and some of that came out in repetition. It was interesting.

Anyways... I'm going to go to my parents' and do some laundry, so I should go shower and get dressed.

One year ago today: Dance is no different. It's celebrating the art, the beauty of God's creation--the human body--the gifts given to the dancer, and the story being told. Of course dancing can be--and often is--taken out of context and misused, just like anything else can. Music can. Photography can. Theatre can. Painting can. Sculpting can. Anything can be distorted and perverted to become anything but what God intended for it to be... but it can be beautifully used, too.
