... Hitting the home stretch

Five thousand words later, it's about time for bed. It's a huge adrenaline rush, though. I don't know if I'll be able to fall asleep right away. I think I need to take a nice, hot shower, and then crawl into my nice, warm bed. Maybe that'll be enough to put me to sleep.

I'm well over 40,000 words now, though. This is most definitely the home stretch. If I could get 5,000 words written tonight, I can definitely get the last 10,000 written in the next 5 days. Hopefully, I won't do it in two big chunks, but if I have to, it can be done.

I don't have much else to say at the moment. It's been a day. A long one. In some ways, it feels like it's been two or three days, but this afternoon, around 4:30 or 5:00, I thought it was still only 1:30 in the afternoon. I don't know what I've done to my internal clock in the past few months, but it's definitely gone screwy somehow.
