So, Lynsae inspired me to become a Jones Soda decorater. I'm working on collecting the labels, which is sometimes difficult because I don't drink a lot of it because it's too expensive, but fortunately, the youth group drinks a lot and I steal theirs. Anyways, I'm collecting the labels, and once I have enough, I will venture to Ikea to buy some fun piece of furniture that I can then decorate with labels and Podgy. The best interior design tools possible to find anywhere! :o)
Actually, Lyns cultivated a lot of my decorating tastes. You can definitely see hers and Shannon's influence in my room--in my Ikea stuff, my picture frames... a lot of it. I kinda shied away from "crafts" when I was 12 or so, when relatives kept sending me all kinds of craft kits--the embroidery kind, or whatever. It wasn't really until last year, living with them, that I really got back into the whole "craftiness" thing--doing the other kinds of things. No more embroidery, or anything like that.
Except for crocheting. :o) That was almost par for the course in living in dorms last year. Get pierced and start crocheting. Become a member of the ever-so-elite "hooker club," where our motto was, "When it doubt, pull it out." Remember, we're Bible college students. Dirty minds and sexual innuendos are a dime a dozen. In any case, that afghan is still sitting in my closet, half-finished. I just don't sit and watch TV or movies anymore like I did last year. That's when I did most of the work on it--sitting in the lounge, watching movies, trying to ignore the homework sitting in my room. :o)
Ah well. I'll finish it someday, and who knows, maybe I'll start another one. But then again, maybe not. We'll have to see.
