Anyways. There were somewhere around 40 people at the airport, with many noise blowers, balloons, flowers, signs, and banners, and she just about turned around and went back. As it was, she ducked her head when she saw all of us, and refused to look at anyone, until we made so much noise and refused to be quiet until she acknowledged everyone. Then we all went to Moxie's, and were very noisy. So noisy, in fact, that they saw very early on how loud we would be, and put us outside on the (heated) patio.
Great fun. Definitely worthwhile. And it was a complete surprise. She wasn't expecting a thing. In fact, she was even potentially expecting no one to be there, because everyone else in the family had commitments (rehearsals of some sort, mostly) this evening. She was semi-prepared to sit at Tim Horton's and drink a quiet coffee while she waited for someone to come pick her up. Little did she know that this adventure had been in the works the entire time...
One year ago today: Hey cool, I forgot that today was my three-year anniversary on Diaryland, until I went back to last year's entry. Hmmm. That's a long time. I've written a lot of drivel and a few pieces of slightly profound wisdom over the past 1096 days. 1183 entries. Just over one per day. Not a bad average.
