... Never say never
Wow, how life chnages! I got a postcard from Christy today, saying that she moved to Nova Scotia! How crazy is that?! I mean, who would ever have thought when we were in high school that our lives would go this way? Not me. She was going to marry Jeff; I... well, at that point, I didn't know. Still don't. But we had everything all planned out. A year ago, I was planning on marrying Brian; I was almost engaged to him! There's no way that I would have ever even imagined that life would go the way it has... Definitely crazy times.

Kat and I were talking about that last night. "Never say never" is our new life motto. You never know where God's going to take you next; you never have any idea what might become "normal" sometime in the future, even if it seems so completely out there now.

We were figuring out who everyone's "opposite-sex counterparts" are, too, because Christian told her a while ago that I'm the female version of Jason Johnson, so then we started going through and figuring out who everyone's "match" is. Not necessarily the person they'd be a good couple with, but the person that they're most like, except of the opposite sex. It was kinda funny. And, of course, with everything that's happening, we've started to think about the oddest couple combinations. "What if..." and trying to think what it would be like if we dated certain guys. Not even guys that we have any attraction whatsoever towards, but guys that we know that we would never picture ourselves with. It's kinda weird. Actually, it's really weird. :o) Ah well. It's fun.

And back to my original topic, it's strange to see where everyone's at now. It's crazy to watch how much our plans have changed since we were in high school, and we thought we had it all figured out. Some people are still on the same track that they were headed on then, but some just aren't. Life goes crazy; goes to a completely different place than we thought it would sometimes. God has this incredible path marked out, and sometimes, it feels like we're just along for the ride, and along to discover him through where he takes us. I think that's the best kind of life to live--enjoying the adventure and discovering as much as possible about God as we go.
