... Unlikely heroes
My laptop finally came!!!!! Which means that I'll be up all night trying to type out nearly 21,000 words of a novel. Ah well... it'll be a fun, caffeine-filled evening. :o)

I really appreciate Craig. He's a good guy... he's so supportive of my drama ministry, and he does everything he can to make sure that I have the tools to do what God wants me to do with it.

I had a meeting with him today about the Sr. High missions trip that will hopefully be happening next summer. It goes to the board one last time next Tuesday, and it'll get it's final approval (hopefully!) then, so Craig and I were going through the details today. I'll have a bunch of last-minute stuff for him on Sunday, but today, we were just going over what I've got so far, because he'll be making the presentation to the board. I wish I could be there, but I have a Q to Q for Mayhem, so unfortunately, I won't be able to make it. Craig's taking all my information, though, and he says I've given him enough that he'll be able to do a good presentation.

He's been so supportive through all this, though. A month or so ago, there was a question that came up about my leadership, because of some past issues. When Craig and I were talking about it, he told me that he was confident in my abilities and in what God's doing through me, and he would defend me to anyone who said otherwise. It's good to have someone like that on your side...

Today, when we were finishing the meeting, he said, "I'll support you as much as I can; I'll give you as much backing as possible on this, and we'll know in a week."

Earlier in the semester, we had to do a list of our "champions" of our art for my Tutorial class. We had to list people who supported us and encouraged. My list ended up containing the most unlikely people--people who aren't even necessarily a part of my day to day life, but who completely support and encourage what I do with my art. Craig was one of those people for me, which completely surprised me. I wasn't expecting him to come to mind, but he did, just because of the ways he's supported the drama ministry over the past 2 years.

Anyways, I'm going to go and play with my new computer and start typing my novel.
