Happy birthday to Jeff. Another one of those junior high/high school April birthdays. :o) Crazy to think of all those people I've known since elementary school, that I have no contact with now. It's kinda strange, if you actually stop to think about it.

Do you ever feel hopeless? Like you wish so much for something to be a certain way, and it's not? Helpless. You can't do anything to change it. We just had a guest lecturer in Civ, and it was a really good talk, but in some ways, it made life seem so bleak. I know that wasn't the whole point; it's partly my perspective right now, but it was still kind of a downer. A sobering reality.

Anyways, I'm off to lunch... my fourth meal out in the past few days. I swear, I haven't eaten at home all week! Everything's been out, and I'm eating out again tonight... at the Cheesecake, with a whole bunch of my friends... that'll be fun. A very odd mix of people, but fun nonetheless.
