... Ebony and ivory
Okay, indulge me for a second.

What, in heaven's name, is the point of a keyboard with fewer than 88 keys? Why? Who would invent, manufacture, and market such a useless piece of junk?

Okay, I can understand keyboard. Don't really like them, but I can understand the usefulness when it comes to using a synth or something. Plus, today's technology makes some keyboards almost comparable to a real piano.

I still far prefer a real piano--one that requires a certified tuner--but I can appreciate the uses and advantages of a well-crafted electric keyboard.

But a fewer-than-88-keys keyboard? That is just insane. There is no point, and it's retarded for the person playing it. And, please tell me, how can anyone, even a beginner take lessons on that kind of a keyboard?

I accompanied my mom this morning at a breakfast, and all they had to give me was a mini-keyboard with no pedal. It was retarded. I felt like I was performing at my grade 2 recital. Single notes plunked out with just a single left-hand note as accompaniment. Plus, besides not enough keys and no pedal, there was no amp or any way to actually hear the accompaniment.

Yeah, not impressed. I can handle a keyboard, but I can't play piano with fewer keys than a keyboard actually has.

Call me a snob, but I like a real piano.

Anyways. My rant of the day.

One year ago today: Question. Would we get ourselves into these things if we knew how frustrating they could be? If we knew how much we would want to smack someone upside the head and make them see truths that they are blind to? If we knew the conflicts it would cause? If we knew how much we would hurt for others? Is it still worth it?
