... Won't close my eyes again
Woo. Busy few days. Sort of.

Yesterday, we went parading... us and 400,000 other people. Amazing that there was 40% of Calgary's population sitting along a 16-block perimeter, or something like that. Fun times. Kim, Kat, Jakob, Esther, Mom, Dad, and I all went, and it was so worth all of it.

Highlights? Cheering for every small BC town, booing the Edmonton floats, massive cheering for the war vets float, booing the Cardinal/Southland float, double double triple triple coffees for Dad, marching bands actually playing in front of us, the Street Marshalls flirting with Miss Calgary, cute guys carrying the stroller up the stairs, Froot Loops and muffins, lots of sunshine, wearing Jakob's cowboy hat all morning, seeing Jakes' face, and the c-train squishies.

Have I mentioned that I love Stampede? Yeah, only in every entry since the beginning of July. Kat, Christian, and I are going down next Sunday--the last day. I don't think I've ever gone to the grounds on the very last day, but we want to see Kalan Porter, and that's when he's on the Coke stage. I just looked at the Stampede website, and saw that Jeremy Fisher is on before Kalan... if we hear some of him, that would be fun--I think I've heard him on the radio, and liked his sound. I think... :o) I guess we'll see... if we do, we do. If we don't, oh well. No big deal. It'll be fun, though. We're planning to go in the morning with Jakes, and then take him home sometime in the afternoon/evening, and head back for the night. Yes, the biggest excitement of my week.

And according to this, my cowboy name is Alida "the bullet" Anderson. Teehee.
