I'm fairly sure that good friends have some sort of mental thing going. Like I said earlier, within 10 minutes of seeing me, not talking about it at all, and not having any clue that something was up, Lynsae knew what it was. Last night/this morning, at around 3:30, she asked me what I was thinking, just because she already knew what it was. Tonight, Laura and I both ordered raspberry cheesecake ice cream at MacKay's, and we didn't know the other was getting it. Last week, I picked a number for the guessing game (and told it to Laura so I wouldn't cheat and say it was a different one), and I picked the number I knew she was thinking. Today, I got emails from both Jade and Trevor within 10 minutes of each other, even though they're 3 time zones apart and on opposite ends of the country. God gives best friends the gift of reading each other's minds sometimes, I think. It's a special thing that's more special because it doesn't happen with just anyone, and it doesn't happen all the time. Just often enough to remind us that bonds tighter than ourselves are there.
