... Into the abyss
Wow--my third New Year's Eve with this diary. I'm getting old. It's getting old. We've both been around diaryland for a while. Strange to think that, in about a day, this diary will encompass the events of my life from 2001-2004. Even though it's really only been a little over 2 1/2 years, that sounds a lot longer than it is. And believe me, there's been a lot to tell in these past few years.

I'll write a year-in-review entry when I get home from work this afternoon, but for now, I just wanted to say that I am so incredibly proud of myself--I spent 4 hours yesterday working on showcase stuff and some other school-related paperwork that needs to be done before I go back on the 5th. I'm still nowhere near done, but I'm a lot further ahead than I was. Go me! And on Christmas break, too!

Does anyone else find this week--the week between Christmas and New Year's--the weirdest one of the year? It's like the nonexistant week... before Christmas, there's so much to do, and so many preparations. After New Year's, there's the rush of getting ready to go back to school... but this week in the middle is just there. At the beginning, it stretches out and seems like forever; by the end, you wonder where exactly it went.

It's a good week; it's just really, really hard to keep track of what day it is.
