... Union demands
Tough crowd + sick cast = low energy

Overall, though, the performance tonight went really well. Especially considering the health of half the cast, the fact that there were some pre-show glitches and people showing up late, and the fact that the audience was incredibly dead. They were hard to get laughing, and the cast depends so much on drawing energy from the audience. Given all the circumstances, though, it was great. :o) So now it's three down, one to go. Friday night's the only one left. It's been a great show, but I'm so tired. Not tired of the play itself, just tired of everything.

Yay for chicken noodle soup. I love Campbells.

Erin and Grant are over. They and Kat and Christian are watching "O Brother Where Art Thou." I really don't understand why Grant had to come with Erin, but oh well. No skin off my nose. I don't have to hang out with him all the time. And in any case, I'm going to go take a shower and try to go to sleep. I'm so exhausted, and my eyes are hurting again. Besides, I feel like I'm intruding on the land of the couples. Oh wait, I forgot; I'm part of a couple--me and my computer screen! :o)

And I'll write on those other things later on... I'm far too wiped right now to write anything meaningful or deep. I wasn't tired until we left the church and I was back at our church, unloading the truck, and getting into Kat's car to go home... then it all just hit me at once. Like I'd expended all my energy on the play, and I was too busy running around and being a director to be tired. Once I didn't have to be a director anymore, I just lost any semblance of energy that I'd had.

The dialogue and music in O Brother is reminding me of when we did Dark of the Moon in high school. "I reckon I might could be persuaded." Cara and I had a lot of fun playing with those accents and characters, and playing around with the music. It was definitely interesting trying to get that class to sing! :o) It was a fun show, though. Definitely an interesting experience.

Okay, my stomach is teaming up with my eytes once again to revolt against the computer screen, and they're holding the chicken soup hostage. They're threatening to throw it out into the cold and not let it come back in if I don't get off here soon and let them take a break. I think they're campaigning for a hot shower, too. *sigh* Union demands. I supposed I'll have to go appease them.

So, sweet dreams. I'll see you there.
